The Smart AC Control by Tado is designed to allow users to control their air conditioner using a mobile app via Wi-Fi. It has an Apple authentication chip, with the HomeKit protocol being implemented by 2016. It will work with any remote-controlled AC in the Tado database. However, there are several critical complaints about this product. The primary concern is customer support, with some reviewers stating they had not gotten any assistance when they required it. The touch function is not up to par, and the device doesn't have a far range for connecting to devices. It has also been known to turn on by itself. The device only controls a single command regardless of the situation, making it less smart. Reviewers have had trouble adjusting the fan speed or temperature, as it must be in the same room to work. It doesn't work around the entire house. In summary, the product has some interesting features; however, it is considered expensive and not well executed.
