The American Oak Infusion Spirals are a great way to add oaky flavors to your beverages. The package includes two spirals and the light toast option imparts a Chardonnay-like flavor. It is recommended to use the spirals only once as most of the flavor is imparted on the first use. The spirals are easy to remove from the vessel with clean tongs and they can fit in a five gallon glass carboy. It is suggested to add the spirals to the secondary and allow six weeks for the oak flavor to fully extract. They have been used successfully in whiskey and even in a s'more stout soaked in bourbon for 24 hours.
