  • Question : Is it difficult to set up?
    Answer : No, it comes with a 30-foot-long ridge line that makes it easy to set up.
  • Question : What is the mesh made of?
    Answer : It is crafted with premium, superfine mesh that is waterproof and will block out the smallest of flies.
  • Question : Does it come with a carry bag?
    Answer : Yes, it comes with an included carry bag that you can easily pack down and throw in your backpack.
  • Question : Is this product compatible to a eno doublenest?
    Answer : Yes, I use this with my ENO Doublenest.
  • Question : How many holes are there per sq inch or per sq cm?
    Answer : Honestly, I have no idea, but it is a very fine mesh and I usually have no issues with any insects unless a mosquito got in from the zipper opening while I was getting into the hammock. No see ums, gnats, and small bugs just aren't an issue for me.
  • Question : My bug net did not come with the ridge line. What do I need to buy for that?
    Answer : There was a small wound rope inside my net for the ridge line. 1.75 zing it will work. I believe standard paracord will be too large as well as stretchy.
  • Question : Will this fit a hammock on a metal stand in the backyard?
    Answer : Depends upon the size of the stand. With proper sag in the hammock, it drapes about 2.5 feet. Keep in mind it is a single layer hammock, so it will stretch down when you get in it. The stand needs to be tall enough the hammock is not on the ground.
  • Question : Is this big enough for two hammocks using a tandem bar?
    Answer : There is probably enough material, but you would need to re-engineer its hanging system to accommodate a tandem bar. Not the best plan in my opinion.
  • Question : How can the net be washed without ruining the mesh?
    Answer : Machine wash on a gentle cycle with a warm wash and a cold rinse. Lay flat to dry.
  • Question : Are Wise Owl products also manufactured in the US, as well as designed here?
    Answer : We are located just outside of Nashville, Tennessee, and are a US Brand and a family company. We do all the design and administration of the company in our offices here. We manufacture our hammocks elsewhere.
  • Question : If I buy the hammock, rain fly, and bug net, can it all be put in one bag to carry?
    Answer : I only purchased the hammock and bug net. They come individually bagged, but if you want them together, a small drawstring bag would work.

The Wise Owl Outfitters Hammock Bug Net is a high quality mesh netting that keeps bugs, mosquitos, and no see ums away while camping. Customers have reported using this net with their ENO Doublenest as well as other hammocks. While the number of holes per square inch is unknown, the mesh is fine enough to keep small insects out. Customers have reported having no issues aside from mosquitos that have entered through the zipper opening. The net comes with a small rope for the ridge line, but a 1.75 zing cord is also recommended. The bug net drape depends on the size of the stand and proper sag in the hammock. It cannot accommodate two hammocks using a tandem bar. The net can be machine washed on a gentle cycle with warm water and laid flat to dry. This product is manufactured outside of Nashville, Tennessee, but the design and administration is done in-house. Overall, the Wise Owl Outfitters Hammock Bug Net is a convenient accessory for any hammock camping trip.
