Answer : For a 10 gallon pot, it is recommended to use multiple large Aquameters spaced apart.
Question : How long does it take for the sensors to change to blue?
Answer : The time it takes for the sensors to turn blue depends on the moisture retaining properties of the soil. In moisture-retaining soil, it may take around 5 minutes for a 4”-6” pot, while in well-draining soil, it may take around 10 minutes for the same pot size.
Question : Do these sensors work in very chunky, quick-draining substrates?
Answer : These sensors may not work effectively in fast-draining substrates with mostly chunky orchid bark. They are more suitable for use in potting soil.
