- Question : Is this humidity sensor a generic sort? does it fit most dehumidifiers?Answer : I would say it does not fit most dehumidifiers unless your dehumidifier uses this specific model sensor. You need a microcontroller to communicate with the DHT22 to obtain readings. All dehumidifiers I've seen, in my limited experience, use a humidistat with a simple on/off switch connected to the dehumidifier.
