- Question : What surfaces are suitable for VELCRO Brand Sticky Back fasteners?Answer : VELCRO Brand Sticky Back fasteners are suitable for smooth surfaces such as painted wallboard, glass, metal and most plastics.
- Question : What is the maximum weight it can hold?Answer : It holds up to 5 lbs (1 lb per 1" square).
- Question : Is it suitable for underwater use?Answer : No, it is not recommended for underwater use.
- Question : How many squares are there?Answer : 12 sets of velcro (12 of each side, so 24 squares total).
- Question : Can I use them instead of buttons ina shirt?Answer : I doubt that you could successfully, as the garment was washed they would eventually come unglued. You could buy the sew-on velcro and use those in place of buttons, I think that would be a great solution if you have issues buttoning clothing. The sew-on would be easiest with a sewing machine but you could manage it by hand.
- Question : How many total boxes?Answer : It comes with a pack of 25, 50, 75, 100, 200. Please read product description.
- Question : How do you remove these from amirror?Answer : Goof off or goo be gone.
- Question : Will these stick to wood?Answer : It depends upon the physical geometry of the wood surface and the stability of the external layer. If the bench is weathered wood, it could have a rough surface that will reduce the amount of contact with the adhesive surface of the Velcro. If the wood surface is friable, it would simply peel away under force of the dog impact on the bench. If the wood surface is smooth and stable it would likely work.
- Question : Does it come with both sides of the velcro?Answer : Yes, this product comes with both sides of the Velcro. The hook side and the loop side are side by side on three backing sheets. You peel the hook or loop off of the backing and apply it to the object of your choice and then apply the mating hook or loop to the second object that you want.
- Question : I need something to stick on the edge of my mattress to hold the edges of a dust ruffle in place. Will a row of these squares adhere to fabric?Answer : They do, but not well. If you place the square on the fabric and then maybe put a couple of quick stitches into it with a needle and thread, you will probably be more successful.
- Question : How could would it stick to a hard plastic on a hot dash board all day while holding up a 1 pound hulla girl?Answer : Depends on where you live, the composition/texture/slope/color of your dash board and most importantly your driving speed and road conditions. In Alaska probably OK, in Nevada, not likely. Black dash board is not as good as white. Smooth is better than textured. Slight slope is better than vertical. Slow and steady driving on smooth roads is better than fast on roads with potholes or back roads. 1 pound is pretty heavy though, to expect it to stay put.
- Question : How much weight can these hold?Answer : I would use one or 2 squares at center of all 4 sides as well as the corners if the poster is larger that 2x3 feet, and if it has no glass or plexiglass cover. If the frame uses glass, I would find a different way to hang the poster.
