The XStream Straw Water Purifier by Sagan Life is an ultralight backpacking water filter ideal for hiking, camping, travel and survival, and it removes bacteria, virus, parasites, and lead. The 2-foot straw extends to 4 feet and is designed to purify 250 gallons of water. The filter comes with a pump to easily pump clean, pure water out of a stream, river, floodwater, etc. Also, you can create a siphon with the filter to purify water. The tubing used in the filter is medical grade, taste-free, thermoplastic polyurethane. The Sagan Life team suggests changing the filter every six months, or it will start becoming difficult to drink through, and taste of chlorine could appear, depending on the water source. The XStream Straw filter is capable of working effectively to purify 250 gallons of highly turbid water. Therefore, the filter is Constructed to last a long time. The filter comes in three choices: the XStream Straw Deluxe (extra filter), XStream Straw Basic (straw and one filter, no hand pump), and the XStream Straw Standard (listed on Amazon only comes with one filter).
