- Question : Can the P1 be used in both stage and studio settings?Answer : Yes, the P1 is designed to be used in both stage and studio environments.
- Question : How long does the battery last?Answer : The P1 can last up to 12 hours on a single 9V battery.
- Question : Does the P1 come with a power supply?Answer : No, the power supply is optional, but the P1 can be powered using the optional PSU-SB DC power supply.
- Question : Can I intercept some of the vocalist microphone audio and amplify for an earpiece?Answer : I think you could get the functionality by inserting a small personal mixer (e.g. Behringer 502) in between your mic and the main mixer. Plug your mic into one of its inputs. Then run one XLR output to the main mixer, and another to your personal in ear monitor system.
- Question : For my monitor mix, would I come from the boards AUX channel or a power amplifier?Answer : You would definitely come from the aux mix from your board. It takes a line level signal and not an amplified signal from an amp. If you need to call me from your amp then this is not the correct rig. There are boxes that convert powered signal to headphone level. But DO NOT do it with this Behringer.
- Question : Could I plug the p1 into a monitor mix that's already powered via an amp?Answer : No, only speakers with the appropriate impedance should be connected to a power amp output. The P1 is looking for line level voltage, not a power amp output. You would more than likely 'blow it up' and damage your power amp as well.
- Question : Will this work if you run just one xlr cable to the input?Answer : Yes it will. This unit gives you the option of monitoring in both Mono or Stereo. Highly recommend this product as it works perfectly in the studio and live situations.

- Question : Do I just connect the IEM to one of the mic channels on the sound system?Answer : You connect the IEM to your audio source at the left and right XLR input connections and your ears at the top mini out
- Question : Is it possible to use the stereo features connecting just one XLR channel with a stereo signal from the mixer?Answer : You're not getting a stereo signal with one XLR cable. That's just not how XLR cables work. If you use one XLR cable, you will get a mono signal, which you can then hear in both ears. If you want stereo, you need to use two monitor outputs and two XLR cables.
- Question : How do I remove the belt clip?Answer : You can remove the belt clip by unscrewing the large slotted mic-stand screw insert (5/8-27 thread) that holds it. The screw adapter is there for either a mic stand mount or a camera (1/4–20 thread standard) mount.
- Question : Can I plug this into the line out of my amplifier?Answer : As long as it’s a line out and not a speaker out, yes. It will take any line-level or monitor output and amplify it for headphones/in-ear monitors.

The Behringer Powerplay P1 is an affordable in-ear monitor system for on-stage performers. It does not have phantom power, so it cannot power a microphone. However, users can plug in a personal mixer to intercept vocal microphone audio and amplify for an earpiece. The unit takes a line-level signal rather than one from an amplifier to avoid damaging equipment. The in-ear monitor works well in studio and live performances and comes with the option of monitoring in both mono or stereo. Users have also noted that it delivers reliable audio with clear sound. Some users have had trouble with the battery door being loose and eventually falling out. One user experienced a loud popping noise when the unit powered on, which they could not resolve. Another user's unit did not work at all when they first received it, even after following every tutorial and buying a plug-in adapter, and was outside the return window when they discovered the issue.
