    Answer : Flex Tape is very weatherproof and extremely tough, so it can be used on vinyl siding.
  • Question : Could this be applied to a pair of boots that are cracked at the bend on the shoe? And still hold with bending of the shoe?
    Answer : Flex Seal does not recommend Flex Tape for that application as it is a temporary fix. Flex Seal Liquid in a can or spray will work wonderfully for sealing cracked boots without compromising flexibility.
  • Question : Can this be used on the inside of a dishwasher or will it melt? I just need to reattach the spray arm.
    Answer : Flex Tape functions at 120 degrees Celsius which is much lower than the regular dishwasher temperature, so it is not recommended.
  • Question : Can this be used to patch a crack in our pool filter?
    Answer : Flex Tape is only recommended for normal hydrostatic pressure and will not withstand high pressure. If you decide to try it, be sure the area is clean of any dirt, oil, grease, etc. and apply a piece of tape larger than the crack for best results.
  • Question : Will this work if very hot sun shines on it? Also does it have a smell??
    Answer : Flex Tape can be applied at temperatures between 20° F to 120° F and withstands temperatures between -70° F to 200° F, and it has a slight standard tape smell.
  • Question : No. flex tape sucks. It does nothing it is advertised to do. Could they be bigger crooks?
    Answer : Flex Tape is a reliable product, and it is essential to remove the backing before usage.
