- Question : I have a 48inch tank. Which size do i get, 36-48 or 48-60?Answer : Depends on whether you want 36 inches of light or 48 inches of light. If your tank is 55 gallons, 48-60 would cover the entire length of your tank whereas 36-48 would not.
- Question : Does it have a remote to change colors?Answer : The new units work off of a Bluetooth app. You can use the remote on your phone to change the LED.
- Question : My tank is 8’ x 30” x 30”. Would two of the 32-42” fixtures support a planted aquarium this size?Answer : No. You would need more than 2.5 feet of the top. Try 2 x 48-60 or more than likely 4 hood.
- Question : My tank is 90cm. Does the 36 inch fit on my tank?Answer : Yes, the 36" light should fit your tank as it is actually 34.75 inches in length. Ensure that your canopy does not reduce the available space.
- Question : Would the 46 watt 36” be overkill for a 9.9" deep planted tank?Answer : Yes, you should run it lower. You would only get the 36" model if your tank is 36" to 48". Not because of the wattage.
- Question : Do they work on 220v?Answer : The power supply on the one bought in the USA had a standard USA 120 VAC plug on the power supply. There might be a different power supply available for countries that use 220 VAC, making it an easy conversion for Fluval.
- Question : What size would I need for a 54-gallon curved tank?Answer : It depends on how long the tank is. Measure the length of your tank and then choose the light with the appropriate length.
- Question : Is this light relatively waterproof? I have no aquarium lid and air bubbles pop and get these lights wet.Answer : The Fluval light is waterproof, and it is designed such that a drop of the fixture in the tank is no big deal. Over time, there might be a buildup of calcaire on the glass surface, but regularly wiping it will minimize the buildup.
- Question : What size do I need for a 20-gallon long tank?Answer : If your 20-gallon long tank is 30" across, you only have one choice, the 24" light fixture. The other two sizes available are 36" and 48".

The light is strong and powerful, able to satisfy even the most demanding of planted tanks, making it overkill for tanks without high-tech equipment such as CO2 injection. The coloration is also very pleasing to the eye, giving a great backdrop to your aquatic pets. The units respond well to most sizes of the tank, but it is important to measure your aquarium and check the various sizes before buying. There is, however, a support bar on the 36-48 unit, which stretches to 48 inches, making it useful for those with tanks of non-standard sizes. It is also important to note that the lights are waterproof, designed to withstand even a drop in the tank, meaning they are very user-friendly for new and experienced aquarium owners alike.
