The GameShark is a versatile cheat cartridge that allows users to save and activate codes for their favorite games. It is compatible with the Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance SP, though only supports Gameboy Color games. The cartridge functions by connecting to the gameboy and acting as a middleman between the game and the console. When booted with the gameshark and a connected game, the gameboy loads into the gameshark menu where users can select cheats to activate. A manual switch on the gameshark enables toggling cheats on/off during gameplay. However, to change cheats, the gameboy must be turned off and new cheats selected.
