- Question : How do you program it to brewAnswer : Fill the water reservoir to the MAX fill line. Make sure the carafe is on the heating plate. Lift the filter basket cover up and insert a 12 cup paper filter into the filter basket. Add the desired amount of coffee grounds (1 tablespoon per cup is recommended). Close the filter basket cover completely. Press the POWER button. The POD and CARAFE buttons will blink, select CARAFE. Press the AUTO button. Use the H/M buttons to set the time for Auto-Brew to begin, press the blinking BREW button to confirm the time. Next choose the brew size, press the blinking BREW button to confirm the size. The Auto-Brew setup is now complete. A clock icon will appear on the LCD screen and AUTO button will be illuminated to signal AUTO is on. Note: once you have set AUTO you cannot brew a carafe brew, you can only brew a single cup. We hope this is helpful!
- Question : Is there a way to keep the hot plate on for longer than 2 hours?Answer : You can restart the hot plate by turning on the power and then holding the carafe button until it lights up red. This gives you 2 more hours.
- Question : Where does the steam come out, front or back?Answer : The steam goes into the carafe or the mug, depends on which you are using. So it would be the front. But I have not really noticed any steam.
- Question : Can it use non Keurig branded K-cups?Answer : Consumers are not limited to brewing only Keurig owned and licensed brand pods in the K-Duo Plus Coffee Maker. We recommend brewing with Keurig pods for the best beverage experience.
- Question : Why does our K duo carafe not brew the size pot we select? After only two weeks, it grinds to a halt after 4 cups.Answer : We recommend descaling the machine. Descaling a regular drip coffee maker is usually done every 6 months; the K-duo may require more frequent descaling depending on usage.
- Question : How do you make a full, 12 cup carafe of coffee with a 60 ounce reservoir?Answer : One cup of coffee is actually measured at 5 ounces. This is the standard measurement in drip coffee makers. We hope this helps!
