Don't know about the dryer.

Lysol Laundry Sanitizer is an antibacterial fabric sanitizer that is designed to kill viruses and bacteria that detergents may leave behind. It is not intended to remove dirt or stains from clothing. The recommended usage is to add it to the rinse cycle with detergent. The chemical scent evaporates, however, it does leave a crisp linen fragrance behind instead. It is not suitable for killing parasites, fungi or ringworms. It comes in a 90oz bottle and can last for a long time. Customer reviews are generally positive. Customers like the fragrance and say it deep cleans their nasty work clothes. Others trust it to sanitize their clothes due to their professions, such as a receptionist in a medical office. Some customers use it in place of fabric softener and like that it has antibacterial properties.
