    Answer : The best answer I can give is probably. Hoses come in 5.9/6 inch and 5 inch. The couplers can be left hand thread or universal thread. You must remove the existing hose end before using the coupler. If you use the coupler without the existing end, you can use it. And, if you are extending it, you put the old hose end on the other side.

    Answer : Are you measuring the inside or outside diameter. It is the outside diameter that counts. That measurement should be 5.9 or 6 inches. The other measurement could be 5 inches. Make sure you are measuring the hose itself and not the connectors. The connectors are how the hose will be able to fit your A/C. If the hose does measure 5.5 inches, my suggestion would be to type in "5.5 inch portable A/C hose" in your browser.

    Answer : Both ends are clockwise.

    Answer : The hose itself should work. What you will have to do is to remove the ends from your existing hose. Because the hose is counterclockwise thread you will have to rotate the ends clockwise to remove them.

    Answer : I doubt if you can find a hose that can snap in. I needed to extend the hose on a unit I have. After much research and using duct tape I have found that the only way to extend a hose is to unscrew one end. The ends of your exhaust hose are specific to your model. The hose itself are fairly universal. You just have to match the diameter. You need to find whether the hose is clockwise or counterclockwise. Just follow around the stiffener for a complete turn and you will be able to find out. It will probably be counterclockwise. If the hose is counterclockwise you will have to just turn one end on your existing hose end to remove it. It will come off. I prepared for the possibility of having to cut the hose by buying two connectors. I was able to remove a hose end by turning it clockwise. I used some WD-40 to ease the removal. I understand removing the hose end seems impossible but you can do it. Once you do it you will realize that is the only way to extend the hose.
