The HomeSpeaker 500 will only work with other products in our Smart Home line of products. The SoundBar 500 or 700 along with other Home Speaker 500's.

You can use the Alexa functionality for that matter. Or even use Alexa routines to wake you up with some particular sequence of actions (read the news, play music, turn the lights on, etc.).
