The Kotobuki 190-808 Earthenware Rice Cooker is a beautifully crafted pot that is perfect for cooking rice and other meals. It is made of thick red clay and has a fine white clay ceramic top lid. It's a stove-top rice cooker that cooks rice pretty fast and nicely. The pot can hold up to 2 cups of dry rice and cooks most delicious rice. However, the directions are exclusively in Japanese, but you can find English and Chinese instructions on their website. One reviewer, a professional Sichuan Chinese food chef, said that she's in love with this pot. She has been cooking most of her life and had been using electric rice pots and saucepans to cook her rice at home. She wanted to stop using the huge teflon lined rice cooker to make one cup of rice. She had to scrub out a bit of carbon from the bottom with water, white vinegar, and a 3m green scrubber after her first cook. She then adjusted her cook time and flame level down, and her second cook was awesome.
