    Answer : 40883 does not fit 45-0462 spreader, you want 41316 hopper spreader cover and this product does fit 45-0462

    Answer : Appears to be. We bought ours at the end of snow season, so haven't officially tested them out. Good thing is that they are stretchable, so they fit different size hopper bins.

The clear center of the cover allows you to check if the contents are feeding through normally which is a plus. Also, it appears to be waterproof, though this hasn't been officially tested.
