No. This case will not charge the Apple Pencil 2. It can hold an Apple Pencil on the back of the case.

Is this suitable for model A 1893 2018 6th generation ipad?

Yes. I bought my Zugu case which was for my 2017 5th generation model. It also fits the 2018 6th generation model. B.t.w. It takes a few weeks to come from California. It does not say that on the ad.

Will this case OK for iPad Air 2?

Yes. The iPad Air 2 is the same size as iPad Air but slightly slimmer. On checking information confirmation said above case would be suitable.

Does this come with a pen?

No. The Zugu iPad case does not come with an Apple pencil. It can hold an Apple Pencil on the back of the case.

Is the back support strong enough to hold it up without being on the magnetic side? Eg if I wanted to stand it up but also attach a keyboard?

Yes. I have ZUGU case few years ago, but I change my iPad and now I try to find some good cases for them. ZUGU was absolutely great case for long time and strong enough and easy to use ... from me - they have 5 star.

The ZUGU case is a reliable and stable option that is easy to use and comes in a range of colours. It fits the 6th generation iPad (model #A1893 or A1954) and has a soft texture on the lid that does not scratch the iPad screen. The flip-over stand covers the screen and the case wraps around all edges of the case cover. The case does not have the ability to rotate, and in portrait mode, there is only a vertical screen angle. The front cover attaches magnetically to the back of the case when opened.
