"If He Had Been with Me" is a heart-breaking tale about Autumn and Finny, two childhood best friends who lost touch, only to reconnect in high school. The book beautifully captures the complexities of teenage relationships and their emotional turmoil. The author has used foreshadowing to keep the readers hooked to the story. Although the book starts slow, the character development and storyline make it worth reading. However, the ending could have been more satisfactory.
