Can you place a tv on this...i have the taller version of this same cabinet and the instructions that came w/ specifically say not to put a tv on it?

There is specific testing furniture must pass in order to be advertised as capable of holding a television, and because this piece is classified in the storage category, it has not undergone such testing. There are not cable holes in the back of the unit to accommodate accessories, and the weight capacity of the surface is 60 pounds. We do not recommend placing a TV on this unit for the above reasons and doing so would be at your discretion.

The maker, Ameriwood (DHP) has never made the novogratz cache series in black. The 5 colors here are all they ever made. What you saw was a different brand or series.

Specifically for the Single Locker, are all shelves removable?

The interior shelves can all be moved and removed. Make sure that the unit is leveled, anchored, and that weight is evenly distributed, and you should be good.

Is there a back on it? If so is there a hole for cables if I want to put a video gaming system inside?

No, but it would be easy to put holes in it. We screwed it to the wall so that it couldn't tip over in case grandchildren tried to pull themselves up by it.

Can it be assembled so that the door opens on the right side, instead of the left (like the picture)?

Yes, the door can be assembled to swing from the other side.
