Yes, it will work with a electronic set. Two options are available. 1) Apply the included Velcro directly on the surface of electronic drum head and attached the RokTempo to the Velcro. 2) If the electronic drum has a rim similar to an acoustic drum use the included the Drum Clip Accessory (DCAA) and attach the DCAA to the rim. The RokTempo attaches to the DCAA.

Can anyone that listens to house music confirm if this works when setup in a studio/dj room?

The RokTempo detects vibrations from items it has physical contact with. Like a drum or even a desk or tabletop. It will not detect vibrations from music played over loudspeakers.

how do I do a factory reset?

A factory reset will have to be done manually. The Default Factory User settings are : 1 = 1, 2 = 1, 3 = 100, 4 = 40, 5 = LbF (Last Average Beat BPM Multiplier Off).

I noticed in the review section someone suggested getting the clip-on accessory with the unit. Does it come with both the Velcro and the clip on?

On the first couple of shipments the Drum Clip was not included. But now it comes with the Clip, also the Velcro is included.

Would this work on an up right bass? If you could use velcro to attach it some how?

Im not 100% sure but I dont think it would on an upright bass. The way it works is by the vibration of the drumhead as it's struck. If youre playing backbeats on a rock , country, pop tune at120bpm, you should see the number 60 or 59 or 61. It allows you a few increments for different technique. I dont think you could trigger it consistently on an upright bass. Now if you were tapping out a 'start tempo', that may work. I think its mostly designed for drums but you could try it and always send it back if it doesn't work or give it to a drummer friend who's time is questionable...lol.

Would this work if you attached (Velcro?) this to the top of a Cajon?

There is a good possibility it would work when set to the most sensitivity setting but we have never tested the Roktempo with a Cajon.

Do you sell the external sensor wire for the older models ?

The RokTempo only has a internal sensor. The older model model is manufactured by a different company.
