The arms do not stick out like a normal towel hook and may not have the tilt to hold a towel though. This piece is made of aluminum so it may rust in time.
- Question : Has anyone tried mounting this without screws?Answer : I don't think that would work. It's metal and is probably too heavy. It is also hollow. You may be able to hang a string through the screw holes and hang it on one of those removable stick on hook things. Good luck!

- Question : Would this work for hanging pot holders and oven mitts?Answer : Yes, as long as your pot holder and oven mitts have a loop attached for hanging. You may have to space out to every other hook on the Octopus.
- Question : Could this be used to hang ties?Answer : I don't think so. The tentacles don't have a large enough curve for the ties to lie flat. If you were going to hang them buy the tag or loop then it would be okay.
- Question : Can I hang it without screws in my apartment?Answer : It's hollow on the back side so it would be difficult. Also, the keys will be heavy, so you would need a decent support. I can't think of a specific way to attach it and use it without screws.
