Well I don't have a golf cart. It does have a claw that fits over a edge of a door and secures with two set screws.

The arm can be rotated to fit many different configurations. That is necessary to allow using either side of the car and at various positions / angles on the door.

This type clamps to the edge of the door. If you have a lip that's about 3/16 inches thick, you can probably make it work.
