- Question : Would this work for a 1983 Dodge Ram prospector?Answer : our 10102 would be a better choice. The 10101 is intended for vehicles running a GM steering column. A set of factory schematics for your vehicle would be a must. This harness is a universal GM color coded harness so it will not be a color match to the harness in your Dodge. Also being a universal harness it will not have specific sub harnesses for things like your factory A/C or Heater.
- Question : Will this work on a toyota fj40 land cruiser?Answer : This is universal. You would have to make it work. Its only a 12 circuit set up.
- Question : Will this work for a 1965 chevelle malibu?Answer : It will work just fine if you follow directions.nNote: This series is for a GM keyed Column Ignition Switch. Painless offers this kit as a Non-Column (dash) switch.
- Question : Will this work for an 87' corvette? also, i have a 383 stroker if that makes a difference? need to know before buying. thanks.Answer : I would not recommend putting this harness in that car. This is a bare bones harness intended for 40's-70's hot rods. We do not have a harness that I would recommend for that car as vehicles that came with factory EFI often have complicated A/C& heat systems and integration between the chassis and EFI harness. nIf this is a car you are going aftermarket A/C, Aftermarket EFi or Carb with, I would look into Painless part #10413 for your '87, it still would not be an easy task for someone who has not done this type of work before (I do not know your experience level) but it will come with more connectors, terminals and circuits that are more specific to that era of GM vehicle.
- Question : Will this work for a 83 Chevy c10 long bed?Answer : This harness can be made to work but we have several other options that would fit the truck much better. Please check out part #20205 as it is specifically for 73-87 GM trucks. We also have 2 harnesses from our Pro Series line up that would work better that 10101, part #10403 and 10413.
- Question : Will the Painless Performance 10101 21 circuit Classic also cover power windows , seats , and locks ?Answer : No, it will not. We offer 10201 with extra circuits for power window and lock. We do not offer anything with a power seat circuit. That would be an easy relayed circuit for an installer to add though.
- Question : Will this work for a ford truck?Answer : it would work for a '40s-early 60's truck, anything between '67-77 would require our part # 10117.
