While it can be run outside, it is recommended to be run in an electrical conduit to protect against environmental factors. The Cat6A connector is different than a Cat5 connector, with wire pairs separated diagonally and grounded. The cable does not need to be grounded as it is already grounded when plugged into grounded devices. As for power over Ethernet, this cable can provide it as long as the distance is not too far and the device can push it that far. The cable is a stranded patch cable, making it more flexible and less likely to break after being flexed.
