Does this case have wheels?

No. It’s one of the best tool boxes I have had. I have worked on elevators for over 40 years and to find a service tool box of this capability with all the compartments was a plus. When you have wheels on a tool box it’s means you can not really carry it. The strap on the box is more than enough to handle the tool box for when you have to handle other items. It can handle my weight of 215 lbs when you have to sit on something while working. Can’t go wrong with this one.

Does the lid have struts to keep it open or will the weight of tools cause it to close on you?

There are no struts, but the hinges have a stop on them at 90 degrees open. The stops on my case broke about 3 months of use. Honestly, though, it was so much better since with the stops it kept closing on me. Now I just prop it up against something.
