Question : Will this item help save my life when the White Walkers make it to the southern kingdoms?
Answer : No - just the opposite. Dragon-glass or not - this bright yellow bag will draw blue-eyed attention to your sorry hasp - and you will be hosed.
Question : Is the bag waterproof?
Answer : It's definitely waterproof and also quite big. I had to return this because it was too big for my daughter's plane and better for a boat.
Question : Is the bag empty or does it have emergency supplies of some kind?
Answer : Its empty save for a free waterproof led flashlight. Its biggest virtues are that it is very buoyant and easy to see colored w reflector tapes. A damn decent ditch bag where multiple persons can tether from it
Question : What is the volume of this bag?
Answer : The bag is not very wide but it will expand and if you don’t mind throwing things on top of each other, you do have height. It’s compact so it won’t hold a lot. We have a separate First Aid box next to the ditch bag so we can grab both if needed.
Question : Is this also a floatable bag?
Answer : They claim it will float up to 15 lbs, never tried 🤷♂️
Question : Does it have a bulkhead mount or not?
Answer : It does not have a bulkhead mount.
Question : Would the epirb pocket fit one of the larger acr cat ii beacons or just a smaller personal size? says 5 x 15 x 6 are dimensions of epirb unit.
Answer : Here is the information for ACR:ACR Electronics, Inc.5757 Ravenswood Road Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312 Tel: (954) 981.3333 Fax: (954) 983.5087 Email: sales@acrartex.com The bag can accommodate all the necessary safety equipment you would need in case of an emergency. the pocket accommodates my personal EPIRB with a great deal of room to spare. I don't see why a large EPIRB would not fit. I believe the bigger bag has a larger pocket. I would call them directly in order to get specifics on the size of the EPIRB pocket.
Question : Is it foldable? To be compact until needed? (provided there will be time to stuff it during emergency)
Answer : No. It is padded with floatation to float so I would definitely not try to ball it up. I would absolutely not try to wait to load it in an emergency. Use it as a bag for emergency gear that could be grabbed in a second should it be needed.
