    Answer : The Magna-Spot welder has a retainer in the electrode to keep the pins from falling out when the welder is turned down. A little effort may be required to push a pin into the retainer or pull one out. Not much effort though.

    Answer : Yes.
  • Question : Does this slide hammer twist to lock onto the draw pin?
    Answer : Yes, you push the slide to the front end and twist the handle to lock onto the pin.

    Answer : There is no wait time. Once you install a stud, you can go ahead and get ready to attach another one. This has been a great tool for me.

    Answer : Thought it would last longer. It works great on all metal.
  • Question : Hi - is the tip on the gun tapered so you can weld the studs in a crease or tight spot?
    Answer : The studs are rounded. They protrude from the gun about 1/16 inch. To get into a deep crease would require a little hammering and pulling.
  • Question : What is the difference between 1500 Series Welder and 2000 Series?
    Answer : I do not know the answer to your question. But I will say that this kit worked great for me.
  • Question : Does this come with a shrinking tip?
    Answer : Depends on what model you purchase. The entry and entry plus kits do not come with it. I believe the pro model and above come with the shrinking tips.

The Motor Guard JO1050 Magna-Spot Entry-Plus Studwelder Kit is a great tool for pulling out dents. It is super easy to use and makes metal working faster. The kit comes with a slide hammer that doesn't slip off and a magnetic spot where you can weld around 12 studs without going back to the box. The only downside is the tip of the gun is not threaded and can fall out easily.
