It has 13 rods and beads for each rod numbering in the thousands, hundreds, tens and units column. It is easy to use and understand. However, some customers have complained about the quality of the product, with some beads sticking together and not staying in place. The abacus also does not move smoothly, which can be a problem when counting quickly. Despite these shortcomings, the abacus is a great educational tool for young learners or beginners in the art of soroban.
