It heats steel to a white-hot temperature and works well on 220v 60hz or lower. Customers can use any cool water source for cooling. The unit has a 30 amperes 240-volt single-phase requirement, and extra fittings for heat loop can be purchased. The instruction manual is poor; however, the machine is straightforward to operate. A strain relief for the power cable is necessary, and it is recommended to have a fused disconnect switch with fuses or a good ground. The induction machine can heat a 1" part of round stock in about 15 seconds (iron bar stock). Customers have run this induction heater continuously for eight hours with no issues.
