    Answer : Yes. They all chirp as they are the same sensor for a door or window. The chirp can also be turned off or audio level adjusted.
  • Question : Can the batteries on the door/window sensors be changed?
    Answer : Yes. The system tracks the battery levels and warns you to replace them in advance before they die.
  • Question : Is WiFi necessary to connect Ring?
    Answer : Yes, if you want to receive notifications on your phone. However, the alarm will still sound when a sensor is activated even if you do not have WiFi.
  • Question : What kind of alerts do you get on your phone without the monitoring service?
    Answer : You will receive a text message as to what sensor was tripped and you can open your app to review. If you have a camera attached, you can review the video and talk through the camera to your front porch. No videos will be saved if you do not pay the fee after the 30-day intro period.

Ring Editorial review

The Ring Alarm System is a great addition to any home or RV due to its ease of installation and complete control via phone. The system is controlled through the Ring app and can be self-monitored or professionally monitored if desired. The system is loud and has a great battery backup, allowing it to be heard from a distance. It is also easy to arm and disarm the systems remotely, which is a great feature. However, users must ensure that their wifi is reliable as any interruption could interfere with the system. Users can receive notifications to their mobile phones in the form of text messages and review videos on the app. Although the motion detector is a great feature, users with cats can forgo their use as the system will still monitor doors and windows. The keypad can be battery or plug and the base is plug and comes with a backup battery. The adhesive on the sensors for windows and doors is lacking in quality.
