Huanyang VFD HY Series is a variable frequency drive that converts single-phase power to three-phase output. It is suitable for motors of 2.2 kW and 3 HP with input AC20A. The VFD has a discharge function required to mount a braking resistor. One can choose a 0.8 kW 4bearings or 1.5 kW 3bearings spindle for this VFD. SCSI interference can be an issue, but the solution is to move further away or shield the VFD. The VFD can be set for different motors with the same frequency. It works well with a CNC router and can be connected to software for spindle speed control. The package can have a bit of a learning curve as there is a lot of information available on the internet.
