The vacuum sealer has mixed reviews with some customers finding it to be of poor quality experiencing issues such as it not vacuuming all the air out, not sealing tightly or breaking after only a few uses. However, other reviewers found the product to be intuitive and useful for regular sous vide use. One customer had difficulty using the vacuum function but found that a solution was provided in a video demonstration. The product cannot handle rolls of bags or cut them to size. The heating element is 12" wide, allowing for bags of any size to be used as long as the sealing edge is clean and dry.
