The HTC Vive Pro 2 headset is a high-end virtual reality headset that offers a crisp resolution, a small screen door effect, and a high pixel density. It is fully compatible with the base station 2.0 and controller 2.0, and also with the 1.0 versions of the base stations and controllers. However, the headset is not without its problems, including issues with faulty wiring, dead displays, buggy graphics, and unreliable initialisation. The heat produced by the headset is very high and its stock padding is uncomfortable. The microphone is sub-par and its headphones are removable. The displays produce grey instead of black and the sweet spot for image clarity is small. The headset is not ideal for those with larger heads/faces. However, when paired with a compatible computer and played with the best settings, the picture quality is excellent. The Vive Pro 2 is good for those looking for an upgrade from the original Vive or Oculus Rift, but those looking for a comfortable and bug-free VR experience may want to look elsewhere.
