P. C. Cast is a bestselling American author who writes in the genre of urban fantasy and young adult fiction. She is known for her House of Night series which has sold millions of copies worldwide. Cast has also written several other series and standalone novels.

P. C. Cast was born on April 19, 1960, in Watseka, Illinois.

After receiving her high school diploma, she joined the United States Air Force and began her writing career while serving.
